Peter is writing to encourage the believers to recognise the grace of God at work in their lives in the midst of the trials and challenges they are facing and to hold on in faith, and to stand firm in Christ, knowing that their confidence will be rewarded. We need hope as humans. And the Ultimate Hope is Jesus Christ & resurrection life in Him. It’s a living hope.
